Tennessee reminds me of the Colorado Buffaloes. Tennessee is an old legacy program that won with the old set of rules when they were true national recruiters. What hurts you now is the lack of elite black athletes within the state itself and the fact that you have to now go against schools in your recruiting area that have programs that are held in much higher esteem. It's just harder for Tennessee now than it was in the 20th century. Only a GREAT coach can get that thing back on track imho.
Somewhat tracks with the recent ascendancy of Clemson as a program.
Very telling is UT's record against the rest of the Big 6. Going back to 2000:
Ala is 17-5 vs UT
Aub is 7-1 vs UT
Fla is 18-4 vs UT
UGA is 16-6 vs UT
LSU is 7-2 vs UT.

NIL will be our saving grace. Look at our current top 5 recruiting class. Our boosters know this too and we are just going to pour NIL money to get the big guys like our 5 star qb Nico out of Cali for 8 milly. I am confident we are going in the right direction...finally

I'm thinking you meant 2000.

Yeah, and France used to have a respected military.

could be again.
You should find a way to work that into your Tight 5. It'll really bring the house down.

It's strange what has happened to these programs.
All of these teams have everything at their disposal in terms of resources and support to the point that multiple losing seasons within a decade should be pretty bewildering.
Albeit, Nebraska is a much less desirable place to attend school and a much less fertile recruiting ground than the other schools are able to enjoy.

This is with Tennessee having the worst run in program history over the last 15 years. Some of you really don't realize how good our program was and could be again.
Some may not. 15 years is a long time to suck so bad that it makes you wonder if you'll ever breathe the free air again. Good luck with that.

With the arrogance that aggie posters carry themselves with around this site, you'd think they've at least played for some kind of semi-final in the big 3 men's sports since Hitler invaded Poland

Not so fast my friend! Tennessee has no instate talent. And college freshman have only known Tennessee as Vandy’s competitive rival.

Huh? Tennessee produces at least 10 4-5 star guys a year and has owned Vandy 13 of the 18 years freshman have been alive. Have you looked at Vandy Ole Miss? Now that’s an undervalued rivalry. Vandy actually has the edge since 2005 on Ole Miss.
Derek Mason owned y’all.

The most successful college football teams are Yale and Princeton. They have 28 natties between them. It was a long time ago but that does not seem to matter to most of you
Ok, since 1950 (sort of modern) BAMA has a total of 13 (or maybe more) football nattys. Since 1950, BAMA and aggy have a total of 13 nattys.

We just got 2 top 60 prospects in the last week and are in on multiple 5 star prospects that want to play with Nico. With our NIL program we will for sure get a top 10 class if not a top 5. Imagine what our coach will do with that kind of talent when we saw him do what he did with the dumpster fire Cornbread left behind

No's 1-5 are truly exceptional, there is only .003 between them, then there is a significant drop off. From 5 to 6 is .025, and 6 to 10 is .033.
