I was told he’d be LSU’s new coach. No way he gets fired

I would be shocked if he was the coach next year

No way he’s coaching in Oxford next year unless it’s for the high school team. Lame duck coach and the team knows it.

Not the smartest insight into the situation. But not a shocking revelation considering the source. Mike needs to go. And we cherry pick some coaches. The money and support is there. No more freeloading. We lost another series at home. To State no less. Embarrassing. Worthy of getting fired.

So who would you get to replace him? Serious question.

I’d try to get Brian O’Conner from Virginia.

Damn. Haven’t really kept up but he is the guy I wanted at LSU after CPM.

If Bianco is not on the hot seat then Keith Carter should be. I think Carter should be anyway for renewing both Kermit Davis and Bianco’s contracts. Athletic Directors everywhere are the scourge of college sports. Back to Bianco, who replaces him, how about Dan Heefner owns a career record of 526-271 at Dallas Baptist , Upcoming Steven Trout, Texas State, a young coach who is taking his team to new heights. How about a very young 35 year old Robert Earl Vaughn at Maryland who has an excellent team this year with a 32-8;record. If you can win at Maryland you definitely can win at Ole Miss.

Would be a good hire.

If that was “worth of getting fired”, he would have been gone a long time ago.

Why would he leave Virginia for Ole Miss?

How could he not be?

I feel like he's gotten some unfair criticism in the past, but he's been there a while with very few skins on the wall, and this falling from grace after being No. 1 this season is probably good enough reason to move on.

There’s no way he leaves Virginia. I could see Dan McDonell leaving though.

Of course it will be McDonell…after all, he’s only 112 years old.

I seem to recall it being said during our coaching search that McDonnell had just signed a big contract extension with Louisville.
