mean you beat an Ohio State team that failed to win their conference, but could not even capitalize on a very weak PAC 12 conference. I'm not arguing that Oregon is not good. I am arguing that they need to develop more consistency. Cristobal could not get you over the hump. Maybe Lanning can. I hope so.

Mario had a foot out the door at the end of last year. He had us in the top 10 with probably the worst starting qb at Oregon in the last 30 years.

Lanning has no excuse on the talent front.

Our class imploded when Cristobal left and Lanning just took it from 60ish to 13 with the addition of Conerly last week and Kyler Kasper today, who is reclassifying.

He also is working on a premier offensive tackle (portal) and can solidify the roster with another safety and corner in the portal.

There is absolutely no reason why he can’t have Oregon’s most talented roster ever next year. He will have a top 10 talented roster and a wide lead even over SC.

He has to develop and scheme better than Mario. Honestly, Cristobal was average there.

Maybe. but early in the season he got beaten by an inferior Stanford teams. It was later that Oregon got beaten twice by Utah, which admittedly had a pretty good team, but there is not guarantee that Oregon could have beaten Utah twice, so making the playoffs was going to be a long shot at best.
Again. I am not arguing the talent is not there. You have two of the best ILBs in the game. Your challenge this year will be replacing Thibidoux on the DLine.

Lanning is a good recruiter. Talen won't be a problem. You have to hope Lanning can coach. It might be a bit of an uphill battle the first year or two while he learns on the job. We were pretty frustrated with Kirby his first year or two with some of the in game decisions he made.

I agree 100%. He was an elite recruiter, but there seemed to be something missing when it came to game time.

I think most Georgia fans will be pulling for Lanning, and by extension, Oregon...except for our game next year, of course.
