Depends on what the CDC says. One day they said it does work then later will say it doesn't work. Vaccines work then next they say natural immunity is better. So in other words the decisions they make is like a fish flip flop on a bank.

I think the reason why most people are done with Covid is due to what you stated. At this point, I think most have realized that the people that are supposed to know, don't really know themselves. They have literally contradicted themselves throughout this whole ordeal. But, they can tell us what to do and force their mandates on us. To hell with our personal beliefs and how we choose to live our life.

I'll give a good personal example....at work, it was stated that if you are fully vaccinated you can go maskless. By the way, it's not a vaccine....it's a symptom reducer. Let's be clear about that. With all of that said, I got both shots. Two weeks after my second shot, work reversed course and stated I needed a mask again. Go figure.

Truthfully, the mask is just a minor inconvenience for people. The people that were truly inconvenienced were the small businesses owners. The restaurant owners, the hometown dentists, etc. A lot of people were bankrupted due to government mandates that kept their businesses closed and stopped them from earning a living. Oh, the big box stores....well Covid couldn't be spread there. The big box stores remained open and thrived just fine. Good logic there, huh?

To russvegas dan....look, I'm not minimizing Covid. I had it, it somewhat sucked, but I got over it in short order. Your family members didn't, and for that, I'm sorry. I mean that. I shouldn't be such a smart arse in regards to Covid, but there comes a time that we need to realize it's here to stay (it appears that way) and we all have to live our lives and get back to normal.

Most of my frustration with this whole mess is the disruption of every aspect of our lives (some more than others) due to a virus that has proven it's not going to kill you. The CDC data supports my argument.

My next bit of frustration is due to the horrible media we have in this country. It blows my mind how they can steadily beat the drum on any topic and after awhile the people that set and change policy finally cave. It's as if businesses and the government think to themselves "well, we must do something regardless of it follows good logic or not." The media knows this, and they use it to get their way. It's sickening.

The media is akin to the sky screaming people...just because you are loud, doesn't mean you are right and that you should get your way. Unfortunately, logic and common sense isn't used as much as it should be in today's day and age.

ETA: Go Hogs!!!!

I agree with everything but this.

But I don't have a problem with anyone who feels this way. What I don't handle so well is some peoples flippant attitude and total disregard for anybody's wellbeing that isn't their own.

The hyperbole is out of control, too, though that's not limited to Covid at all.

Also unrelated... I'm also looking forward to the day when more people realize that the social media that they read every day isn't doing them any favors in avoiding the disinformation of the mainstream media.
