Magic on his feet but that was it. He never had the arm strength to be an elite level QB at the college level and this is why he was recruited as an athlete and had he gone to Oklahoma where it was one of his choices, he would play WR with zero possibility of playing QB.
I watched him live over the years and his arm strength wasn't impressive at all. He can't throw darts like Ryan Mallett or even current starter Jefferson can. He simply never had enough zip on passes to ever have a career in the NFL as a QB. He was by definition a postionless player whose only chance of success in the pros was at WR.

Ryan Mallet wasn't half the college qb that Jones was.
