Disagree strongly on this. Manzeil was not a better passer he just played in a better system for his abilities and had an amazing talent at WR to throw 50/50 jump balls to.

Matt Jones would have flourished in a modern spread offense or hurry up.

Jones was recruited as an athlete coming out of high school. Most were recruiting him as a WR but Nutt told him he could play QB. Jones was the better athlete but Manziel was the superior QB. He played in a better system but regardless, he had almost 4,000 yards in the air and 1400 on the ground. Jones couldn't put up with that kind of passing stats with a weaker arm no matter what system he played in. If the NFL scouts thought so highly of him as a QB then he wouldn't switch to WR playing for Jacksonville.

Jones would play WR in any modern offense.
