Yea but he wasn’t the best QB. Jones should have never been the QB to start so he wouldn’t have had to move him if he could half way coach a QB
Did you see that team before Jones took over at qb? No one, but you I guess, wanted him out of that position.
Your hatred for Nutt is noted though.

Yea I watched all his games and saw the team before him. Was at the 7 OT game in Oxford.
Just saying Jackson was drafted in the 2nd round for a reason and had a 10 year NFL career. He was a better QB.
We just had an awful coach that made every QB he coached worse.
I did say Jones should be on the top 50 list as well but if Petrino was the coach or anyone that knows how to coach a QB Jones would have never been the QB and we would have had a QB that spent more time in the NFL than any QB we’ve had since Joe Ferguson 50 years ago.

Yes the embarrassing game with UNLV that led 7-3 until the final seconds that involved a revolving door of QBs. I watched that game live and never seen an offense that bad. Then the rest of the year showed an offense that was an embarrassment until the Weber State game. But that was totally unnecessary as Nutt was the coach for three years and still had no replacement for Stoerner.
Jones wouldn't start for any other SEC team. His arm wasn't strong enough and in a sense was never a true QB that could drop back and throw darts. He was a job security player and that was all Nutt was concerned about.
