The things he lacked that kept him from being great yesterday are the things that mature NFL quarterbacks do, he will learn and adjust and he won’t have a performance like that again in the future in a big game

Remember this all you haters, I predicted his Heisman two years before he won it

Joe Burrow did NOT lose that game. Piss poor play calling and and offensive line that might as well be cardboard cutouts lost the game

I doubt the Bengals are in the Super Bowl again anytime soon.

This was their Cinderella season.

You never know.

I was Dan Marino fan back in the day. I always thought he would be back after that one he lost to the 49ers.

Well you know how that turned out. Loved Marino but can not win an argument with Montana and Elway fans bc they of course got rings.

Yah but everyone in the country knew the rams would win the super bowl. Translation - how can a team win a super bowl when their receivers had too many drops and the offensive line let a record leading sacks in the super bowl to add to their record or 70 total sacks regular season and post season, I have never heard of any team win the super bowl with those accomplishments.
Bengals are a young team, will be back, Happy for Whitworth, obj, Stafford and v Miller as I'm a big fan of those guys as well as Burrow and company.

Joe didn’t play poorly.

The difference in the game was poor offensive line play and Eli Apple covering Culp lol.

Joe played well. Had a couple drops and got sacked like 8 times.

Bengals relied on the running game all year in big moments and it got shut down. It wasn’t all Joe that got them there. Mixon underrated

Burrow didn’t play that poorly, the LA defense was just better yesterday. Cincy needs to make some moves to shore yo the OL, and they need another WR to take some of the load off Chase.

It’s a travesty Kupp got MVP over Donald. Donald absolutely dominated the 2nd half, and was by far the best player on the field.

I love all of this poor Joe Burrow talk. Dude has 3 #1 receivers, a pro-bowl runningback, and a defense that gave up 19, 16, 24, and 23 points in the Playoffs

Like consistent offensive line play?

Two or more? It's hard to win a playoff game. It's really hard to win an NFC or AFC title game. It's EXTREMELY hard to win a Super Bowl. There's no guarantee he'll ever play in one again. So, just throwing out "two or more" so casually is ridiculous.

If the Bengals don’t win one in the next two years, the odds are he won’t. That’s a poverty franchise that has no history of sustainable success. Once all those weapons need to get paid, they’ll be back to normal.

It depends if the Bengals can retain that defense through the next couple years, especially after the Bengals have to actually pay Joe Burrow. The Bengals defense did enough in this post season to win a SuperBowl. It was the offense that struggled. Bengals had a SuperBowl caliber defense, Who knew

Maybe...

After the Super Bowl in January 1985, if you had asked me how many more Super Bowls I thought Dan Marino would be in over the next 14 seasons, I would have said at least 2 more...probably 3. I thought Phil Simms would have been in more than 1 as well. I'm not talking about how many more they would win...I'm just talking about how many more they would even play in.

Heck...after the run he had in 75-77, I though Bert Jones would at least play in one.

In a sport like football, so much is dependent upon the talent around you, and injury.

I was pulling like hell for him yesterday and he was Few plays away from Goat status if he had executed that last drive to be a game winning TD. However, there was something in the back of my head that said losing this game was not bad for him. If he had won he would have ascended to the top of his profession in 2 yrs and I have to believe the success like that would have ruined him. Just hope he returns to be a next Brady…

Seemed like the Bengal defense allowing the Rams to march all the way down the field and score the final TD was what lost the game. The Bengal OL allowing so many sacks was surely a big factor as well as key drops by the WRs. So after all that maybe you could throw some shade on Burrow for something but doesn’t seem very material given the preceding.
