Their starter has done a great job recovering. 3-2/3 and zero more runs given up. PC in the mid 80s. They’ll consider it a big win if he finishes 4 given up only 3 runs.

Penn melting down in the 5th. We push 3 across, but it again feels like a missed opportunity. We only had 1 hit and it was a weak roller that found a hole up the middle.
Prager’s outing is done as well. 5-2/3 IP. 1 run on a HR that just snuck inside the fair pole down the RF line. 8 K, 3 H, & 0 freebies.

Before the blowup, I was going to come post something along the lines of "Any series win is always a good thing, blah blah blah" then go on to express my concerns about our offense and give kudos to the pitching so far. So much for that.

So the bullpen has some depth issues. Somehow that isn't too much of a surprise. Going to be some nail biter Sunday games this year. Just need to tighten up play on Friday and Saturday

Except it wasn't so much depth. Cortez, Palish, and Menefee are supposed to be our top relievers.

Supposed to be. It is a long season, so on to the next one. I'm surprised we lost but this team is still trying to get used to playing together. There are going to be ups and downs all season long
