He is digging his heels in, supposedly asking for more than his buyout amount

His reputation is trashed, and its his fault. The falsehoods brought up during this will eventually go away if they are disproven, but I don't see how he gets paid to coach football again after what has come out about his time here, at Boise, and at Ark ST.

If he gets his $18 mil I think he'll probably be all right. Maybe he can buy him a hamburger like Eddie O.

Ark St almost fired him after a year for being awful with the media and to work for.

Coaching turnover has been an issue everywhere he went because he is so difficult to work for

Boise guy on JOX just now went pretty scorched earth on him, saying he felt like he was too good to be bothered with most things and people only mean anything to him if they help him personally. Offense declined every year under him.

Lazy or inept recruiter, maybe both

Why can't we all get rich for getting fired?

I said supposedly because I've seen it in a few places (I think a beat writer said it) but I don't have any good sources for it

Personally I like him and If he is "digging his heels in" as you describe, I do not blame him at all. I would do the same. What happened is a shame, and it is damaging to his reputation. Why not fight for the extra dollar?

He might really be a total piece of shite, but the have nots are always bothered when those with higher value neglect them.

Auburn did a poor job of vetting him. I guess this falls on Greene's shoulders and I assume they will be looking to get rid of him too.

So, in the end, it looks like the good ole boy PTB were right all along.

All I want for Christmas is for you all to fire Harsin for inappropriate relationships and then hire Petrino or Freeze. Is that too much to ask?

SO all of this is coming out now and has never come out during the vetting prior to his hires anywhere else he's worked? This sounds pretty typical of how things like this go. Guy has rumors floating around the media and then people thereafter come out of the woodwork to talk about things that happened years ago that were never mentioned prior.

The affair rumor has almost entirely stayed online in fan-organized spaces. Reporters aren't sharing it, and even when it originally came out reporters in the Auburn space they started on Twitter said they wouldn't deal in rumors, only that his job was up in the air.

What has actually damaged his reputation for sure are his own actions. Auburn isn't handling this well at all, but I can't believe how many Auburn fans refuse to demand accountability from the coach.

Allan Greene got sold a bill of goods that Harsin was the coach of the "Alabama of the Mountain West". I'm sure he talked to Boise and they had glowing things to say about him to get him out the door without a fight. They should have called former staff and administrators at Arkansas St.

I don't think we should have hired Kevin Steele, but we would assuredly be in a better place under him than we are now
