Unless LSU can score TDs 4 out of every 6 possessions, you will lose by multiple TDs to the Vols. Death valley won't matter. Vols would have boat raced you last year towards end of the season much less in year two of the Huepal/Hooker offense.

Although I agree with you about Tennessee would’ve boat raced us last year; your other predictions just aren’t reality. You realize that Tennessee when playing SEC opponents, rarely scored more than 21. So it being a shootout is not going to happen. Decent defenses were able to keep that “explosive” offense in check. Plus Hooker is hot garbage for a Qb on a SEC team. And last but certainly not least; Tennessee will most likely see a drop off in offensive production this year and going forward. Why? Because now teams have tape to study and teams with decent D coordinators will be able to gameplan accordingly around Huepels gimmicky offense. Last year teams only had tape of Huepel from UCF, Mizz, etc. but didn’t have much tape of what he was trying to do with Tennessee. Although that old tape of him and his offensive scheme was probably very similar, d coordinators still didn’t know for sure if he was using that same scheme at Tennessee. And not being certain means you have to take a more “conservative” approach just to cover for any suprises that you might not have seen from his old tape. And a conservative, soft D against that type of offense is an absolute dream scenario for Huepel. But give credit when credit is due; Huepel did capitalize on that, which is what good coaches do… but jsut think abt an aggressive D, and how much trouble that would give Hooker. Idk if the May’s brothers are still enrolled or if they declared for the draft; but other than those kids, that O-line is suspect. Hooker would be rattled and rushed and under pressure constantly and he isn’t a playmaker type Qb. He is the kind that is reliable enough to execute a play when everything goes right; but if a play breaks down he isn’t the kind that can improvise to make something out of nothing… plus that spread, ginormous splits, scheme wouldn’t really be a huge disadvantage for a team with a Defense like LSU’s. A team that has the talent to be able to man those WR’s and aren’t worried about their CB’s being on an island; that type of D isn’t ideal for Huepel… so I promise you, it will be a tough game, and it being in BR is why LSU will win it. You do remember the heart break Vols faced last time y’all came to BR, right? Derek Dooley. LSU’s fumbled snap as the clock hit 0; UT players, fans, coaches erupt in joy, preparing mentally for the victory celebration of defeating a top 10 team on the road, about to go down in the locker room… but wait, what’s that? Illegal substitution, 14/15 men on the field on the defense; half the distance, replay 3rd down??… You know the rest I’m sure, no need for me to rub it in.

Stopped reading at your ignorant Hooker is hot garbage for an SeC qb comment. He was among top 3 to top 5 every major sec stat leading category for SEC qbs in hix first year in z new system including fewest interceptions.
