No qualified in state student is getting rejected to make room for an out of state student. There is no cap on enrollment like GT and UGA have. In state total enrollment has stayed roughly the same while out of state enrollment with 3x the tuition has exploded.

It's more like Alabama has figured out how to convince out of state students to come to UA and subsidize the education of in state students.
