I’m not up to speed on where we stand. Who has left via the draft and portal, and who is coming in from the portal?

Others may know more than me but the only signee I have seen sign so far is Ford . We lost Diodatti to the portal as well.
Edit- think we lost Denton to UT as well. That one will hurt

I honestly don't follow as close as I should so maybe others will chime in, but below are the players that were on our roster last season:
Eddington - transfer
Denton - transfer
Diodatti - transfer
Ray - draft
Preilipp - draft
Heller - transfer (?)
Portera - transfer (?)
High school kids:
Ford -drafted
I think there was one or two more from the high school ranks that was drafted and decided to sign with their organization

Transfer portal:
Eli Giles (6/21)
Zane Denton (6/13)
Davis Heller (5/31)
Owen Diodati (5/30)
Graham Crawford (5/24)
James Thies (5/23)
Jacob Eddington (5/18)
Here’s Roger’s take (on RBR) - note: GMac has since announced he’s coming back
Who will sign?
Prielipp, Ford, Ray, Madden, and Ochoa most likely all have already packed their bags for their next location. McNairy has already graduated and seems likely to sign. McMillian will have a decision if he wants to try and improve his stock, but next year as a senior signing money is likely to be less than this year. Being older, London would seem likely to entertain the opportunity to go pro, but also has the leverage of trying to put together a season worthy of moving up in 2023. Blatter would need to be wowed by an offer to not go to school and try to move up over the next three seasons.

Considering the substandard year that we had we still lost a lot to the draft and the transfer portal. It's hard to be optimistic for next year.

We also gained some great ones in the portal. Two from Tennessee Tech that are/were great hitters. I get the pessimism though, until Bo can turn the corner in development it doesn't really matter who we bring in. I have faith in him (although not much) and if he can't get it done this year, he should be let go

Remember Jeremy Brown? He is now coaching at Grissom High School in Huntsville. I live one block from the high school. Looks like I may need to go to a few games

do we have any weekend pitching starters in this group? As well as a potential closer?

79 Grad of GHS. They had great BB teams back in the day. FB was horrible. I think my senior year we only won a game or two. Coach Robinson. Basketball was above average.

Riley Quick is a power arm and I believe has a chance to be either a starter or a high-leverage reliever.
Not sure what happened to Alton Davis. He has good stuff but much more raw than Quick.
