What a FOG thread if I’ve ever seen one. You ain’t posted all fricking year in our basketball thread and now you wanna start this shitty thing.

Guarantee you’ve only watched 3 or 4 games this season.

This ain’t an Oats problem, His offense works..It gets wide open looks all the time…he can’t make the shots for the kids.

Shack came back for Shack. He doesn’t give a frick if Bama loses or wins, as long as he gets his 20 pts per game and a few shitty drives in the lane that end up with a prayer thrown at the rim. It’s as good as a turnover.

Quinerly I just don’t know. I think he’s mentally weak. Some think he’s shaving points. I won’t go that far but its funny how he always misses that crucial free throw or critical shot. At best, he’s slumping badly, shows no leadership, and is not helping the team.

Davison is not a great shooter and is a true freshman. Did you expect him to come in and be Kobe?

Gurley transferred in from a mid major and plays like a mid major player.

Bediako shows some skills in the paint but is young, raw, and inexperienced and is getting schooled on the defensive end by SEC big men and underutilized on the offensive end since he’s not standing behind the arc.

Ellis is a solid player but he’s just a good role guy.

Tchikou is a bust. Miles, Gary and Rojas stay hurt.

Oats needs to learn a hard lesson about his system: it’s great when it’s working but when it ain’t, you can’t beat Georgia. He’s a former math teacher, do the math. Thirty times zero is zero. It doesn’t matter how many open 3’s you take, if they aren’t falling, it’s an empty possession. So you don’t continue to take them. You run the offense with the goal of getting an open drive down the lane or work it to the guys down low for a HIGHER PERCENTAGE look. If the long shite ain’t falling, go for layups, dunks and putbacks instead. You also need to factor intangibles into your recruiting. Because this team is as barren of leadership and guts and an alpha as the Sahara desert.

I think Oats is a good coach and I have loved and supported Bama hoops since CM Newton was walking the sidelines. But Nate has to know that a great coach learns to adapt his system to the abilities of his players. If he needs an example, walk down the hallway.
