haha noticed that too
Although I think deep down a lot of our rival fans like Pearl. They think he's fun, good at what he does and he's a zealous advocate for Auburn.
Which is strange considering random dudes in the Midwest and New England think he's evil

When we hired Pearl, I asked a UT friend what he thought. He said, "You're gonna like him. He's a lot of fun. I wish we had kept him."
He is a lot of fun. He's a brilliant marketer, and given where we were at the end of the Barbee error, we really needed that. It's taken him a while to build the brand and attract talent, but he's been selling tickets all along.
I get while some Illini fans hate him, but they were the ones who went on probation. He's made mistakes, and paid for them. Ain't nobody perfect, but he does a lot of good things off the court too and promotes all sports at Auburn.
I'm sure a lot of opposing fans are ridiculing the craziness of the students, but hey, they are in college and they are having fun with it, camping out in freezing weather, going crazy with silly memes, and screaming their lungs out in games. Good for them. They get the old fogies, who have suffered through many years of bad basketball, excited too. They should have fun, these are their college years.
