Pretty clear why the program that ended the year ranked is called the University of Louisiana and the one that ended the season unranked is not.

Yeah the program that is 0-22 against LSU and has put up a total of 25 points against us all time.

Poll 100 people outside of Louisiana and ask them if they know who LSU is and then ask them if they know who University of Louisiana is ?
