Where does Georgia as a fanbase go from here if they lose on Monday?

Sure there is the prospect of a more explosive offense with better QB play that could come around someday, but overall the gap in talent/experience between them and their overall schedule will never be greater and Bama will likely never be “weaker” under Saban.

Does the sentiment just become “ride out Saban” since Kirby will likely still be young in coaching years when tGOAT retires? Does the fanbase turn on him? Does a degree of apathy set in?

Pretty much where A&M is, aside from the ability to actually sniff an SEC and national title and the sack to actually play in their bowl games.

Keep buying players the best way you know how, and hope for a season where the dominos fall your way. It's all a Saban disciple can do.

They'll probably feel like aggy did 40 years after 1939.

Somehow they'll keep breathing. I think they're less likely to murder people than Alabama fans after losing a ball game

The UGA fanbase will never change.

And they will never win.

The delusion is a condition of the fandom.

Stupid . . . .competing for titles is where everyone wants to be. Dawgs will just push harder, as will everyone else.

I’d say you keep cheering as a fan because that’s all you can do. Not like a fan coaches, plays, or makes any other coaching decisions

You do realize y’all still don’t have the right to ask this question to a Big6 team right

Give us some advise. We've never been that low.

That’s where literally every team in college football is. Even if we win, that’s where we will be. Nothing will “fix” college football like Saban finally retiring.

Does the fanbase turn on him?

Even without a national title, we are doing things as a program that we’ve never done before. We are Fiesta and Cotton Bowl wins away from sweeping the NY6 under Kirby and have 2 CFP wins in his 6 years as a head coach y’all will have to do a lot worse than see us getting drummed by Bama (like everyone else) to make us shake one of the best coaches in the country

Set in? It’s been here. Yalls mistake is thinking we haven’t been apathetic this whole time. We’ve done everything short of win a title in 42 years. You can only bump that ceiling so many times before you just kind of enjoy the small things and accept when you’ve finally gained an inch in the right direction.

I'm not going to give up on my alma mater if they lose in the natty against the biggest dynasty in modern US sports history. Once a dawg always a dawg.

Georgia has big time chance. Aggies beat Bama and we were one play from beating them. Just think about that! Here’s hopping for a good game

Collectively, we shrug our shoulders knowing that we will be back playing for championships in the coming years. We are not going anywhere, no one is turning on Kirby, team will be even more talented (though younger)next year.

Like most teams who don’t have Saban coaching them, it takes generational talent to win it, most times. We don’t have that at any position and yet here we are with a chance. What other team has done so without the “GOAT” QB for their school?
