Is there not a rule if a player steps out of bounds they cannot be the first to touch the ball? I may be confusing NFL and college rules. Someone said they have to establish themselves back in bounds but it seems I have seen a guy step out early in the route then catch the ball 20 yds downfield and get called back.

Rules guy said it's a different set of rules for offense and defense. If offense guy goes out on his own he can't touch it.

Not sure. Just remember thinking he was lucky not to get holding or interference called.

If offensive player goes out of bounds on his own he cannot touch the ball first. A defensive player can go out and in bounds as much as he wants, but must be in bounds when he touches the ball.
And you are correct, sir. Kendrick was lucky to have not been call for pass interference. We caught a huge break on that one.

It was a make-up call from two really shitty no-calls on us earlier.

Agreed, no doubt. Michigan could hardly complain too much about the officiating....and it was pretty bad,for both sides. Their DBs were grabbing handfuls of our jerseys.

I actually hated that he got away with raping that Michigan receiver. I want to win, but not like that.

I hope we get a great and fair officiating team next week. Nothing is worse than having Bama refs determine the outcome.

The officiating crew is from the ACC. The head ref (white hat) is a South Carolina alum.

Both will be nice and if the game is as close as I think it will be officiating could be huge factor. If we blitz as much as I think we will,we're gonna have man coverage all night long and it can easily translate to multiple PI's depending on the crew...see the 2020 game in Tuscaloosa.
I hope we have a crew similar to the SECCG.

Exactly. Isn’t the officiating headquarters in Bama?
