"There's about 5 or 6 guys that will battle to get on the mound as a starter....We feel like Connor Noland is the best he's ever been here. Freshman Hagen Smith has done a tremendous job...Jaxson Wiggins developed a curveball and slider."

Dave Van Horn said Braydon Webb is as good as any center fielder he's ever had. Said he will have a good year if he can get over a quad issue that's been nagging at him.

He’s in really good shape and he’s healthy…he’s throwing the ball 92-93…secondary stuff is really good. I like when Connor pitches because he’s not trying to strike everybody out.
