In 15 games, Cam Newton in 2020 had 21 Tds and 11 turnovers with the Pats. Mac in 2021, with a vastly superior supporting cast (and no. 1 scoring defense), has 18 Tds and 14 turnovers.

Mac is a rookie, Cam is a washed up veteran.

Sounds like the rookie is showing a lot of promise to be close to the veteran.

Stats are stats. They have more wins this year, which is what matters.

And yet the Patriots straight cut Cam Newton in favor of Mac.
The stats pretty much show they didn't lose much production, while getting a guy who they hope to be around for many years in the future and will get better.

This is a self own, Cam is a former MVP but looks like Mac is just as good
