High draft pick conundrum

So, the Falcons are "in the hunt." They also have a top 10 draft pick if season ends today.
On one hand I'd love to see them get in the playoffs, knock off somebody great in rd 1 (Tampa for instance) and then get crushed. Likely pick 13ish
But a couple reg season losses to finish up the year and ATL could be picking 6 or 7 in the draft.
Edit) I guess there is a third option as well. Play 500 ball in the remaining games and stay where you are at Pick 9.
What's your preference?
I'll pick the higher draft spot and look to the future regarding the playoffs.

Later mid 1st rd pick - WR1
Top 10 pick - Defense BPA
Top 10 pick - Defense BPA

I don't think the difference between 6 and 13 is THAT big of a deal. Would be cool to make th he playoffs in Smith's first year, but let's be honest, we're going to lose 2 of the last 4.

We just need to pick the best available player regardless of position in the first round.
