One of the things that made me start losing interest is growing up.

Remember when you were young and dumb (maybe some of you are still at this point) and coaches seemed to be there for the school. They showed complete enthusiasm and allegiance to the school they coached for.. then they leave and go to another school. And they put on the same exact show from the last school. Coaches don't give two shits for their school. They put on the same silly dog and pony show job stop after job stop. It's all show. It's all business. Not at all about the school.

Saban, probably the greatest college coach ever, doesn't give a shite about the University of Alabama. He only cares about his football program. He pretty much even hates their fanbase. This isn't a rant about Saban hating. I don't hate the man, just ready for him to retire...

Players are becoming the same thing. That kinda kills it for me. I could sort of handle the silliness of coaches pretending to care about the school they were at, but I don't care for the players to be that way. Takes away from the "pageantry" of college sports to me.

Didn’t that kind of start happening when schools started recruiting kids at a national stage instead of just their surrounding states.

I wouldn’t expect Bryce young to have an unconditional loyalty to Alabama considering he grew up in cali.
