Word is Elko got away from Kelly ASAP. He was only there 1 year.
He's been with Jimbo for 4 years and has had multiple head coaching job offers every year and decided to stick with Jimbo.

That’s worked out well. All it’s done is ingrain Jimbo’s loser mentality deeper and deeper into Elko’s brain.

That’s right. Then Brian Kelly hired Chuck Lea, who is now the head coach at Vandy, then hired Marcus Freeman, who is now the head coach at Notre Dame

Feel bad for the guy. Kinda like John Chavis under Les Miles. Putting up solid defenses while the offense sputters under the past-his-prime head coach.
