What did yall think of him? I though he did a pretty decent job since Mack was determined to sink the ship. Not the best ever, but probably the best we have seen on ESPN this season.

Mack sucked last night. He has been alright the last few weeks. But he went full Verne last night.

Whatever. was not a top tier game so we got the minor league announcers. I expect to get shitty announcers for the early game against Arky as well.

At least we didnt get that completely awful woman, Pam whatever her name is. I cannot stand her. She did the Penn State vs Indiana game last weekend and I just couldnt watch it.

He was completely lost. He said things all night that made no sense. Mack was horrible.

Listening to Mack last night wasn't great but it could have been worse. Beth Mowens or what ever that chicks name is could have been on the call.

Mack referred to Gus as "Gus Muschamp"....that old coot needs to find another job.

I thought the announcers certainly leaned Kentucky with their calls. They had several where Auburn missed tackles and it was fantastic plays by Kentucky but when Kentucky missed a tackle is was just a bad play by the defense.

He absolutely sucked at yards gained on the play. He may have gotten six of those calls correct the entire game.....for both teams.

Yep. Another time he refused to call Muschamp by name. "The DC made a good call there".

Absolutely agree. Felt like they were trying to fit a pro Kentucky narrative the entire night - playing on a national stage, the fans excitement, however long it had been since KY had a Thursday night game, Stoops as a HC, how this isn't the same Kentucky from previous years, etc.

Mack got a lot of things wrong and his analysis made me go wtf? several times. Like we weren't even watching the same game. Play by play did decent job.

Fans, in general, tend to expect perfection out of the booth in regards to knowledge of their team. I think sometimes we overlook the fact that they really have 3-4 days to learn all there is to know about not only our school but the other school too. Play-by-play and color commentary on a national stage really is a thankless job. I thought the play-by-play guy did a great job last night. He had his little mis-steps but overall he delivered on what was happening when it was happening.

Mack Brown is doing the best he can. He knows his football and last night you could tell that at times with some of his insight. He's not been in the booth long and you can tell he wasn't comfortable with the setting. But he's still infinitely better than Andre Ward.

Mack couldn't say Kerryon to save his life. Keyron made some nice plays though.
