Anybody else notice the sudden increase in bama love from the guys on the early show? Over the top praise for every single move they make. Started the day Saban retired. Have to wonder if that was planned, paid for influence in the local media

It was a lame hire and losing T-Rob hurt too. Most of their fanbase is pretending to like the hire.

Listened to JOX last week for the first time since the roundtable left and holy crap has it fallen off. I couldn’t listen for more than about 20 mins.

Bama fans are still in the denial phase. Nothing has been an obvious over the top terribly program ruining move yet, to move them to the anger stage.

Auburn fans, we've been through this enough to know the signs. Hire a coach who was successful from some western school, make alright coordinator hires that aren't home runs. All Bama has going for them is talent right now. September 24th against Wisconsin this year they'll hit that anger phase.

You must be young.

Alabama (the state) has been at peace because Saban gave them what they feel they are entitled to. Now that he’s gone, we’ll go back to overzealous fellatio of Alabama and all things bad for Auburn. Don’t be surprised to see scandals and unethical behaviors reported about the Auburn program.

It's so bad even Cubelic bends over backwards to talk highly. Never criticizes.

Jox and Finebaum got to calm the gumps down. They are losing players left and right, recruits are decommitting, they are offering 3 star players. And to top it all off there great defensive staff is a hire of Buffalo Bulls head coach with a 3-9 record in 2023.

HC avoids getting canned by joining Bama staff. I mean, that's always the sign it was a strong hire

agree, nothing against Grubb and Wormack but Alabama has went from hiring former CFB/NFL coaches as analysts and having top OC/DCs to these guys.

Why are you listening to WJOX. There are plenty of podcast and YouTube vlogs to get any coverage you want.

I stopped listening to Jox when Lance Taylor backed out of walking to Auburn after winning the MNC. Claiming the company said it wasn’t safe. I’ve never asked anyone to walk on the side of the road if I ever needed to walk it

I’m good friends with Pat Smith but he is an insufferable bammer.

Nothing but a bunch of Bama pole smokers on there. I never listen to that shite.

Obviously we’re all biased, but it’s hilarious that not one media member can come up with a negative thing to say about the hires.

This reminds me that I have let up on my vocal boycott of Dick’s Sporting Goods (at least the one in Hoover). They had a big, elaborate celebratory display after Bama’s 2009 NC. Nothing for Auburn after 2010.

I made a comment about it to someone who worked there, and he said something like, “We don’t celebrate teams who cheat.”

So for the young guys, that’s the state of Alabama you can expect. If Alabama starts losing, it’s going to be ten times worse. Ask any Auburn fan that lived in Alabama in the 80s or late 90s to 2008.

Kind of off topic but I was listening to the Montgomery ESPN affiliate and they had Scarbinsky on discussing the hire and Saban. In trying to rationalize this hire, It was noted that Saban averaged 4 LOSSES / year before going to bama. and then lost 6 the first year. I wonder if any of these so called "jounalists" ever think about how the turn around just "happened"?
