Have people forgotten about JJ ? He looked great in limited action this year albeit against some pretty bad teams. He will be the starter because he has experience, physicality, and isn't going to be a redshirt freshman in 2015. White will redshirt and start as a redshirt sophomore or rs junior giving us years to build atop of that.

Unless NM gets hurt or forgets how to run the read option, that's not happening. Nick Marshall will start this year and we should be damn glad about it, kid plays his fricking balls off and wins games.

JJ will start until Tyler Queen starts.

White's going to be the best damn backup in the nation... for 5 years. We'll moan because he's not starting... for 5 years.

He's accurate on short and intermediate throws, but we haven't seen many of those in Gus' offense. JJ has a bigger arm and is far, far more dangerous as a runner.

I'm going with White because of the superlatives Dilfer uses to describe him. If he is as good as Dilfer says and JJ ends up starting, then that is very good news for us!

I've been on the White Pain Train since I watched his film back in the Summer. My vote is White.

Wild Card: if we get Torrance Gibson in the '15 class, he could possibly start. He would be a true freshman so it would be tough but he's got all the tools.

Jeremy Johnson.

My main reason for supporting my answer would be by saying he will have been in the offense for 2 seasons... Plus, I like the dual-threat nature he brings to the offense, and he is very underrated as a passer.

Nit sold on white just yet. Why weren't bigger schools after him as well as auburn? His offer sheet looked odd. At the same time I'm not sold on jj just yet either, and why are people talking about jj's dual threat ability? That dude didn't leave the pocket much in the few games he played. Maybe I'm wrong. Either way I'm just glad to have NM coming back! I'm excited to see what Gus can do with a kid starting two seasons under him.

JJ over the midget, or did we decide he wasn't too short?

JJ for now. If he struggles at any point or gets injured White should be next. Tyler Queen is no slouch either. And we are beating the bushes for another DT-QB.

Good god I hope not. That always messes up the flow of the offense when he did that. I hope he learned that wildcat is not necessary anymore

really push Marshall during the Spring.

Meh. Marshall has 15 games experience under his belt. Not much JJ can do to compete with that.

This killed momentum many times this year. Granted, it was earlier in the year, but it was a momentum killer no the less. It's also why we didn't see JJ later in the season when games were tight. We tried to keep NM in a rhythm.

yeah I just saw that I meant Sean White

I forgot to mention during this time we will have a total of 7 heismans starting with Nick next year , JJ will win two, Roc Thomas will win two himself, & White & Queen will both win atleast one

also during this time Gus will become the winningest coach in college football
