or does Chizik actually have a large group of supporters?

I don't know if it's a large group, but there are a number of people that I met around Auburn last weekend that feel Chizik deserves another year. Seems to be people 45 and up mostly.

That's what I'm getting too.

I get a bad feeling the Mcwhorter & company plan is to try and keep everyone and fire Scott L. as the fall guy.

The plan started a few weeks ago when they planted word through the media that Jacobs had support and later that he would prolly be retained. Now, that the rage over that is starting to die (as everyone has focus on Chiz) they will start dropping hints of support of Chiz and let things die down after the Iron bowl beat down. After a few weeks of no news, they will resume the plan and eventually keep Chizik.

Now, I don't know anything, but just get this horrible feeling something like this is going down. Someone make me feel better.

I have faith in mankind and as such it is impossible for me to accept that our AD would be stupid enough to retain Chizik.

Hope that helps.

There are people that want to keep him, but I have no idea why.

I am old (77 graduate) and no one I have talked is even remotely talking about keeping him. With 9 straight SEC losses and 7 by blowouts, empty seats, businesses in Auburn hurting, the embarrassment of robberies, security forces, assistant coaches openly talking about how small and weak we are, there is zero chance Chizik survives.

Let's say AU keeps Chizik. If he loses to Gus in the second game is he gone?

I can't force myself to talk about such a thing because I have rejected the reality that there is still a chance he could get one more year at Auburn.

I was going to say "No way they would fire him that early after going out on a limb for him", but I realized how stupid the people in charge seem to be at Auburn.

Who knows with the bunch we have down there.

Then 0 fricks will be given by most fans about the football program next year.

Hell, I might stay on the A&M fan bus.
