Can someone explain why Whitehead is still in the dog house? Will he ever play again? What did he really do?

Holsey has looked shaky at safety. He needs to move back to corner.

He looked slow to react, uninstinctive, and didn't cover much ground at Safety.

FWIW a fan posted on AUC he thinks JW has in essence been "fired" from the Defense. With the number change from 9 to 35 and him on scout and special teams it appears he is allowed on the team but seperated from CEJ and Cheese, whom he ha the incident with, and will not have interaction with them.
P Marsh agreed with the post. Those are just opinions but something worth pondering.

I still see this as a bizarre solution. If what happened is so bad he can't be around the coaches it happened to then what message is that sending to the entire team.

Back in the day when I was on junior B, we fought like hell. Most of us hated the OC. And this was in HS. I can see a situation where JW was like "frick this guy." He might have just told them to frick off, and that's not kick off the team worthy, IMO.

Is CEJ the guy Whitehead had the run in with? I wish this story was more public.

I played in college. The offense and defense are often like two separate teams. I strongly disliked some coaches on our staffs in my time but respect was always offered whether they deserved it or not.

If what happened warranted a 4 game suspension I can't conceive of a scenario where he would be allowed to come back but had to stay away from the coach he had the issue with…in my mind that is undermining the coach.

Either the coach is willing to let him serve his time and forgive and forget . Or your sending a message to the team that the coach in question doesn't deserve respect.

Agreed. You can't just let a kid get away with what he did. I don't know the specifics, but from what I've read, it was pretty shocking what he did/said. I think the fact that Whitehead has never been a problem in the past and seems to have been a great kid on and off the field, probably got him a little slack, but it seems like he's pretty lucky just to get a chance to get back on the field in a special teams only role.

Apparently both CEJ and Cheese from what I heard. It does no good for us to know and it be more public. As long as the solution does not overall team chemistry and unity is all that matters.

Us children of the 60's and 70's don't understand why you young'uns are so afraid of beaver.
