Sorry, meant we wouldn’t go to our second option. I agree, would seem silly to me to not do our first option if allo we have to wait on is the playoffs.

Don’t think that NFL coaches are allowed to talk to others about jobs until their season is over. I’m sure Freeze and Kiffin have had some discussions since they have known each other but you can’t go announcing that stuff while he’s still in the playoffs.

TRob, I am assuming, will not be interested in coming back until he is given full DC responsibilities with control of all aspects of the defense including hiring of assistants and recruiting.

They can't interview until the season is over. If the Texans keep winning and we still don't have a DC for weeks that could be the sign that he's coming.
This happened last year and we kept thinking the same thing.

Schumann isn’t leaving a stable job to jump into life after Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa, and that’s a smart move.
I think he’ll do what Kirby did…and to an extent, Lanning….wait for a great HC opportunity to pop up and make the leap.
