Notre Dame and Under Armour are extending their relationship, agreeing to a new 10-year contract that puts the Irish at the top of college sports with a price tag of more than $10 million annually in cash and gear, sources told Yahoo Sports.

This one exceeds that amount and vaults the Irish to the top of college sports, alongside the likes of Texas (Nike), Kansas (Adidas), Louisville (Adidas), Ohio State (Nike), Nebraska (Adidas) and Michigan (Nike) — all schools with deals believed to range from $8-10 million a year.

I believe our negotiations are coming up

They offered a similar to deal to Auburn and I believe it was turned down.

UA’s exclusive window with Auburn ends September first. Auburn can begin negotiations with other brands then.

I’d be floored if Auburn didn’t sign with Nike/Jordan brand.

We are headed to Adidas, I would imagine. Cohen’s prior relationship there combined with Under Armour’s financial woes make for a perfect storm.

And no, I don’t see Nike showing interest. They have the market in the Southeast. No need to add Auburn unless they get us on the cheap. And Auburn will not be signing for the cheap.

I think Adidas is a close second behind Nike/Jordan brand.

I’ve been hearing since January itd be Nike though.

Didn’t Tennessee just move to Nike from adidas not too long ago? What would they bring that Auburn wouldn’t?

I’m just sick of crappy fan gear

Nike wouldn't, Jordan brand might. Depends how coordinated Nike and Jordan brands are re collegiate deals

If it is run like most of corporate America, Jordan brand probably is closer to Nike competitor than "two names, one brand"

We turned down an offer that would be the richest in college football? Doesn’t sound right.

Notre Dame’s UA deal has always been bigger than ours

I’d go as far to assume that they’re negotiated by the same exec at Nike HQ. It’s just a branding preference, on Nike’s end. They’re dictating which schools are wearing which brand.

They certainly aren’t going to bid against one another. I’m nearly certain that Nike views it holistically.

10 year $100 million deal isn't worth much with a company going bankrupt

you get your $10M a year until they go under and you go get somebody else. I don't think any other SEC team is making that much coin.

Their stuff that gets licensed and sold to the public is nice, but the actual on-field uniforms are just awful. The way they are cut and fit just looks weird as all hell.

Florida is the only Jumpman school in the SEC. I hope we go that way. If they even want us and if the money is right.
