I know I made a pretty confident post a few months back that Auburn would move to either Nike or Jordan Brand, but If I were a betting man, I’d be putting my money on AU sticking with Under Armor now.

Same.

Seems like AU doesn't want to change, which is a shame

Not saying I disagree but I’ll wait for an announcement before I am happy or disappointed

I have zero problem with this. We are going to get the most money from UA.

I wasn't big on Nike after they did whatever they did during Tub's era. Whatever it was, we covered the swoosh.

I am not an Adidas fan.

Going back to Russell would have been fine.......but they can't afford us.

yes and a few other factors that play heavily in our favor.

I don't think it's a 100% done deal, but I'd say it is getting close.

Gross..Their clothing sucks and their cleats are even worse. Do not want. Not to mention this makes us less appealing to basketball recruits.

I've heard nothing but negative things about Under armour equipment from athletes. Wish we would upgrade but I understand if under Armour makes the biggest bid

I’m not sure if it really matters or not but the negotiation window for us and UA closed September 1st.

How is that? The contract may have run out, but the window for negotiations is endless.

Their window for exclusivity ended. Doesn’t mean they can’t bid now.

I might buy some Under Armour stock if we enter into another deal. The CEO probably has something cooking with his new offering if we are reupping with a company that has failed us. We pretty much got shafted with thousands of call options that expired worthless. Unless Auburn is just enslaved to stupid decisions then they see some value in the brand. Considering I am just small drops in the bucket with no trade knowledge or skill of significance any perceived sense of understanding I am going to take the bank.

Stock price is currently down 80% from all time highs and only 90 cents from its 52 week low of 5.7x.

Edit: This would be a gamble and a hail mary on a company currently on the mat. Dont take investment advice from board retards.

If we keep Under Armour thats a massive F for Cohen. Besides the fact that out own players in some sports have said they won't wear the gear because its low quality, it hinders us in recruiting. I have to trust that Cohen is smarter than that.

I say go with UA if they make the best offer. If they go belly up after, get somebody else. I definitely wouldn't take stock options this time around. Apparel and cash.

Ladies wear is where they got their name, and their boatloads of cash. But they have a ton of cash, enough to pivot into team sport if they wanted to. They have already got into athletic menswear and their stuff is nice. Expensive, but nice.

It is Mercedes Benz while Nike is Toyota Camry. Is that a good analogy?
