Off topic, but I can see UAB becoming such a big rivalry that we start playing them in football every year too. They could become the Southern Miss of old, getting a few good 4 star recruits every year. Hope they can fast track their new stadium so Legion Field doesn't ruin their momentum.

I hope to keep playing them in basketball. They have a great history there and will most always be a good rpi game win or lose.

if we ever were to look for a perman non conference rival/ like florida-fsu. Georgia-Georgia tech. or Clemson-south Carolina. then I'd prefer renewing the old rivalry with tech. but as noted above they already have the rivalry with uga so the chances of them agreeing to play two sec teams annualy are slim
