Just about to crack open my first ever Fairhope Fifty-one.

What should my expectations be?

I picked up a growler of Founders Rabaeus for the Chiefs game. It's a little too sweet

Drankin a sweet Mannys IPA in the Delta Sky Club in Seattle at the moment. Good stuff.

I drank 3 Budweiser and 2 glasses of wine, pretty sure that equates to an IPA of sorts.

I'm drinking Dale's Pale Ale, preparing my liver for the abuse I will heap on it Saturday in Red Stick.

Throw in a Zima and you'll be close.

Gonna be listening to the game on satellite radio on the way to FL. Been a long time since I listened to a game in the car. Last time was LSU 2004. Maybe thats good luck.

I was going to do the same (on the way to FL) but figured there was a good chance I'd end up driving us into a ditch so we aren't leaving until Sunday.

That and I can't face Auburn sober 2 weeks in a row!

Speaking of radio pav.. My buddy used to have an adapter and you could listen to radio broadcast while watching game live.

I can't remember name of device. I would love to hear Rod instead of TV. Anyone else heard of this?

Early impressions: very nice. Strong hop flavor without being too overpowering. A little more mellow than some IPAs I tried.

Of course, I went to BCHS in Bay Minette, and always thought of the Fairhope crowd as pretentious, effete snobs...but now that I'm middle aged I begin to understand the appeal....

I've been meaning to try it. Got a fridge full of beer that my girlfriend isn't particularly happy about, so it's hard to justify

Sheesh how do you guys enjoy IPAs so much? Too hoppy for my tastes. I'll do doubles, triples, quads, hefes, red ales, porters, barley wines, pilseners, and belgian sours. No IPA though. And man I can't tell you the last time I drank something like budweiser. It's gotta be at least 16-17 years.
