on the first thing...i'd heard that as well but have also heard more recently that this was false.
As evidence, Gus wouldn't have thrown the ball so much in the 2nd half. That makes me think it wasn't him calling the plays.

Seems to me that was a loss to an awful team that couldn't score a td. A team we lost to 80% of the time over a decade.
And a loss that lubricated bama's path to playoffs.
