Anyone want to try to predict the first 5 games. All at home.

I’m torn I could see anywhere from 5-0 to 2-3.

If we are 3-2 after the first five I don’t think Harsin is retained at the end of the season. Hell might not make it through the season.

Those first 5 will determine the future of Auburn football in my opinion for the next 2-3 years. If we start 5-0 maybe some players jump on board for recruiting. 4-1 most people could accept anything less will be extremely disappointing.

Anyone wanna give their opinion and why?

I am going with 3-2. I think we win against Mercer, San Jose State, and Missouri. I think we lose to LSU. Penn State is a toss up.

I think Auburn starts out hot, gets everyone’s hopes up, and then proceeds to meltdown down the stretch of the season — resulting in Bryan Harsin being fired.

I see a 4-1ish start, then Auburn runs into Georgia and gets smacked into oblivion. We then witness JABA, and Auburn gets out-talented the rest of the way (outside of Western Kentucky).

Finishing with 5-6 wins again.

We will start the year 5-0. How we finish? Who knows.

We’re better than every team we face in the first 5 and we’re at home for all of them.

What’s crazy is everyone that claims to be a Harsin defender says he’s a “good coach” like a football mind coach.

If so prove it. You still have a Top 15 roster. According to blue chip prospects meaning 4-5 star players by percentage. Auburn is at 50% of the roster is 4-5 star players. Last year I think the team composite for talent Auburn was ranked 14th and went 6-7. I expect with a short roster that we will probably come in somewhere around 17th this year. That will put us basically more “talented” then probably 4 opponents. 1 of those being LSU at home with a 1st year coach and new system what we used as excuses for loses all last year. Penn State we will be about equal in talent and have them at home.

So just off talent and auburn being auburn I’ll give us 1 we shouldn’t win and lose one we should still leaving us at 8-4 on the year if you go by talent composition. So is anything less a failure?

That isn’t my season prediction just on paper that would appear to be a reasonable expectation. So why so many predictions from the experts from anywhere 4-7 wins total?

I'm sure it will help if our "fans" show up, fill up, and light up JHS. A half empty stadium certainly won't help, and that is squarely on US. Yes, every single one of us can help, or hurt. I hope we all choose to help and throw every ounce of our support behind AU football from Thursday to Saturday, at Tiger Walk, and be inside JHS and pumped well before kickoff. Just my two cents. War Eagle.

I don't know what to say to any AU fan who can't get up and get excited for LSU and Pedo State at JHS.

A raucous environment can help win a game now and then, but on field talent wins championships.

It is no accident that Georgia and Alabama have won most of their games lately.

Their fans are the same as any group of fans. Their on field talent is winning the games.

The Iron Bowl last year demonstrated it to me. Once it got to OT. Their talent beat us. One on one. Best versus best. Young made a throw and Metchie ran a route. We lost. Crowd was great, we had a chance, but IF we have Bryce Young at QB, more elite offensive linemen, more talent across the board we win that game.

4-1. I can see us going 5-0, but somehow we can pull defeat from the jaws of victory. We have talent to be 8-4 or better.

Last year we had coordinators who flailed around and got us beat in the second half of games. Hopefully, we see an improvement this year. I blame the late year collapse on the OC/DC. No more third and 1 'hail Marys' with a great stable of RBs, or 'zone baby, zone!' when you have man-to-man personnel.

Harsin wins the SEC, then leaves for Texas when drunk Sark goes 6-6 this year. We all melt down, even though a lot of people want Harsin gone. Then we hire Jeff Grimes and bitch until we see Grimes loading up on the 4* and 5* Olinemen again. Grimes wins a natty the next year, and then gets fired in 2026 for going 3-9. #Auburnrollercoaster baby!

He used to be co- offensive coordinator at Texas. Even if Sark starts drinking again Texas won't hire Harsin. It is possible that one of the West Coast schools might make him an offer though.

Honestly, I don’t have a clue. I like our chances at home against both LSU and PSU, and unless we dial up another GA State performance we should be 5-0 to start the year - but that’s all just on paper.

I think Harsin, for better or worse, is a dead man walking. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to having his back to the wall. Is the team behind him? The mass post-spring walkouts predicted by some here never materialized, so we’ll see.

I mean...... Was it too hard to post the damned schedule?

SEP 3 MERCER (W)

SEP 10 SAN JOSE STATE (W)

SEP 17 PENN STATE (W)

SEP 24 MISSOURI (W)

OCT 1 LSU (W)

We have the first 5 at home? I predict a quick start, then a late season collapse (just like last season).

I think Harsin has something to prove and this team will rally around him. We just need some consistent QB play.
