Don’t be surprised if Broome at the very least puts his name out there as an early draft entrant while maintaining college eligibility. I remember reading last year when he committed to us that going to the draft was a strong consideration for him.

He’s not a legitimate NBA prospect imo but that doesn’t really matter when these guys are making decisions

I’m interested to see the Atlanta talent pool and where they go. There’s alot of talent in the ATL in the ‘24 class, and I want to see how Auburn can keep up with the ACC schools to the east and other national brands

We have the #3 2024 class already with Pettiford, Philon and Marshall from Marietta.

It's hard to know which portal guys are "casually contacted" vs "seriously contacted" but in addition to the others mentioned in previous posts, here is who AU has contacted but I'm sure there's more considering I've read there are already over 600 that have entered the portal.
1. PF - BJ Mack 6'8" 245 lb - Wofford
2. SG - Paxson Wojcik 6'5" 200 lb - Brown
3. SG - Nicholas Timberlake 6'4" 205 lb - Towson
4. SG - Jaykwon Walton 6'7" 205 lb - Wichita St
5. SG - Cameren Hunter 6'3" 200 lb - C. Arkansas
6. SG - Damian Dunn 6'5" 195 lb - Temple
7. PG - Amaree Abram 6'4" 190 lb - Ole Miss

It's clear we are targeting SGs. Interesting that the Ole Miss PG is listed there considering, at this time, Green, Tre, and Aden are expected to compete for the PG minutes.

How do you guys see this going down? Tre being bumped to 3rd ball handler? He had a strong finish to the year but Bruce never really seemed to trust him fully this season. I like how he runs the O and his potential. But I'm very excited about the Aden Holloway era as well.

It's fun to speculate but my head starts spinning when thinking of all the scenarios the staff has to consider with next year's roster. What if Flan comes back, does Westry play the 1, 2 or 3, does Tre play both 1 & 2, will Aden play both 1 & 2, does Wendell transfer, does KD transfer, can Yohan contribute next year, does Jaylin come back, is Moore politely asked to leave? And these are just questions about the current roster. I can't even imagine trying to juggle current players, the portal and NIL. I'm glad we have Bruce & staff.

NIL and transfer portal have made roster building into a true art form. It’s insanely hard

Found this one interesting, Georgia's Oquendo has hit the portal.

Being reported that FIU SG Denver Jones (6'4" 190lb) from New Market, AL has been contacted by AU.

I wanted him last year. Not sure what kind of year he had this year.

ETA: Looks like a worse year and shooting percentages are not good. Still probably worth a shot, more intriguing than most of the names I've seen so far.

Oquendo and Denver Jones are definitely the 2 names I've been most intrigued by thus far

There needs to be a cleansing of this lineup. Bruce can’t be loyal to non performers in the NIL world; it’s championship contender or bust from here on out

No need to cleanse the lineup when you have some good pieces. Just add talent though and don’t worry about fit. Get the best players you can

Hmm, I know things can change but:

"Since entering the portal, Abram says Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Ole Miss, and SMU are the programs he hears from the most. Houston and Louisiana Tech are two schools that have reached out recently. He additionally has heard from sources that Memphis is interested."

I'll put this here since it's offseason news: Zep Jasper is joining War Ready for this year's TBT. I wish they could make just a little noise one year

New contact:

"Auburn and Mizzou are the newest schools to reach out to TCU transfer Eddie Lampkin".
Lampkin is a BIG boy - 6'11" 263 lb

Elite rebounder. Not sure he makes a lot of sense for us but would be good to have an elite rebounding option at the 5. There were some games we were just getting wrecked on the boards and our rim protecting 5's who are merely average rebounders couldn't help.

So basically, I'd rather have him on the roster than Stretch for sure but I'm not getting my rocks off for this dude

Davion Mcknight from WKU is a legit target. Auburn/Louisville both after him.

Wow, didn't hear AU mentioned for him, only Louisville thinking he's a lock.

This one will make some folks happy...per Ferguson, Auburn has reached out to Northern Arizona G Jalen Cone. Jalen stands at 5'11".

Actually does make me happy but I know you are being sarcastic. I am 100% on board with small guards, as long as they can shoot. Cone can really throw darts
