This is the first game I have watched. You can never judge anything off of one game. That being said..............nobody get their hopes up.

We just won another xseries. and I tthink today's game was vs their ace. That guy is a straight up stud to beat ULouisville 1-0

I was impressed with their pitching, especially their first reliever. McCord did not impress me at all. He couldn't throw a fastball for a strike from 6 feet away. He lived off of that slurve. Camp looked very solid, but the other two guys looked unimpressive. Our clutch hitting is pathetic. Wins are always good, but we are going to have to greatly improve before we get into SEC play.

ETA I will say our D looks much improved.

I have been a lot more impressed with our guys all the way around today. Pitching has been decent-solid. We have gotten some good clutch hitting today. Nulph is a ball player.

ETA Nulph has made some damn fine plays at SS and just got his fourth hit in his fourth at bat. Two doubles and two singles.

Any way to watch these baseball games for those outside Auburn/without the SEC network?

I'm not sure. I looked through a little of the schedule and it shows every game is either being shown on the SECN or WatchESPN. I mentioned that over at AUF and somebody said the softball games are being shown on WatchESPN also. I haven't seen the ladies play yet.

10-6 final. They had the bases loaded to end it. We made it way more interesting than it should have been.

We had mass substitutions at the end. The team is performing.

I remain highly skeptical. believe this team will struggle to be .500 in conference play. Hope I'm wrong

I'm actually optimistic. We've got spectacular play at SS, and the 3 strike ball from the pitchers have improved dramatically. It appears that mean SOB is turning it around.

#1 reason.....IMO.......pitching.

It looks like we have one stud. I have not been impressed with the other two who are expected to be our starters. Our pen looks shaky except for our closer. I agree with warau. Xavier was the Big East Champs last year, but they are something like 4-9 this season.

Pitching mostly. We don't have a ton of consistency outside of Thompson. The numbers are better but both of our other weekend guys have had major issues with fastball command. Our bullpen is going to be a liability and Camp had had some control issues recently.
We continue to give away outs on the basepaths. It seems that we have some speed, but lack the ability to be good base runners.
