Student lickets
Does your title say lick-ets???? May explain the high price.

Bottom line, tickets are high, cheapest to the IB are like $375 and those are in the upper deck.

It is hard to justify giving students more tickets when they don't fill the student section for all 7 games. If we filled the seats when playing the "South Central School for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Want To Do Other Things Good Too" they would give student section more tickets.

You can get to 5out of 7 home games as a student for probably $120 if you were to buy on the resale market. It is the UGA + Iron Bowl that is where students get price gouged. Problem is there just aren't enough tickets for genpop or students for those games

I wasn't trying to justify giving the students more tickets. I think we get plenty.

I was just referring to the not showing up early and staying late issue.

They definitely are the worst but the student section as a whole isn't great all 7or8 home games.

That being said, we are way better than say Alabama.

AU's student section is way better than a lot of schools. I think Bama's student section is around 17k and hardly gets 13k in there for their biggest games

The only real way to solve the issue is to increase student ticket prices as the profit margins would be so slim on resale that it wouldn't even be worth the hassle/risk.

Considering sophmore+ all get tickets, it is a raw deal for students in the long run financially

you are still going to have the kids whose parents pay for the tickets in tuition and profit from the cash

developing point based priority is the only real solution. make sure you have someone who participates and accumulates points. As well as a change in the checking id process to verify its the correct person

Now you can transfer tickets to other student cards. Verification is too hard anyways. Knew someone who did Locks for Love or whatever and he looked like a different person with no hair. I don't think the $7.25/hr security guards care. Especially since the cheapest ticket is doing a $50/handshake during a false swipe

I literally never had an issue getting student tickets to every home game when I was going through auburn my first time around. Even as a freshman, I still got every home game. I'm assuming it's gotten more difficult?

My freshman year was 2006

Last year it was first come first serve for Freshman... Problem was that it crushed the system. So they went to a lottery system for Freshmen this year which stinks.

Soph and above have no problem getting tickets, but can see that being a problem in the future.

Students would be highly upset with that.

Alabama does that and they hate it.
