I wonder if he has Hugh Nall on speed-dial?

Any amount of logic should've told him not to go.

Les was nearly fired after last season. They didn't try to hide that. Why would you join a coaching staff with such high uncertainty of the future?

I thought this as well. Didn't understand the move at all, but hey it wasn't a "lateral" move, amirite?

What the hell really happened with him last year at AU? Even if he was frustrated with the offense (who wasn't), what did he actually think he could do about it? He was the WR coach, not the OC. Did he expect Gus to fire Rhett mid-season and promote him?

Who know Craig? Maybe he did more than he should and there wasn't a place for him to stay. Him leaving might have been a suggestion, so he'd have a move instead of a firing for the ole resume? Again who knows?

He was "Co-OC" in job title. He probably thought his input would at least be valued and taken seriously. Seems like Gus/Rhett completely shut him out which probably didn't sit well with DC when their ideas failed

Technically he was co-OC. It was just a title for recruiting and salary related purposes but he probably felt he deserved the responsibilities that would go along with a title like that, especially when paired with younger and less experienced Rhett Lashlee. He also knew he'd reached his ceiling at Auburn because the only way Gus would get away from his adopted son Lashlee is with a big and proven name (Briles, maybe)
