-Auburn has a few names in mind for Graduate Transfer LBs. Will most likely take at least one.

-Pettway and R. Ford could experiment at RB this spring

-No more changes to offensive staff. #RumorU

-Everybody in signing class should qualify. Rumors about Barrett not qualifying are baseless.

Didn't Ford play pretty good at safety this season?

I know I threw up an shitty website link in the other thread but Ford has a chance to get drafted if he plays well at safety this year.

Intredasting

Ford is a good runner if we ever get desperate for backs. I hope he sticks at safety though. That's going to be his position at the next level.

Also, can Auburn contact these potential graduate transfers or are they hoping for a phone call?

I'm gonna be pissed if Ford gets moved to RB. He looked good with the ball in his hands as a freshman but he's our best safety and other than the LSU game had a really good season.

Ford has a chance to be finish in the top ten in Auburn history for career tackles. He can play special teams, safety, nickle or corner at the next level. Easily the most underrated player in the SEC. First round pick with a good season this year imo

RF23 is a first round pick?

He's solid and I think he gets drafted, but top 32 seems a bit of a stretch- although I was dead wrong about Dee Ford being a first round pick.

In short, I hope you are right about this Ford bc that means he had a great 2016 season and playoffs with multiple picks, etc.

Guessing this is more for emergency situations. Doubt we move our first string S or FB to RB unless we absolutely have too

Yea, I'd assume it's a special package type thing, have himgo both ways some. I think Gus has just been missing that outside speed on his sweeps.

Hmm, that seems a tad optimistic. He'd have to have a fantastic year.

I do think he gets drafted but probably 3-5.

If he participates in the NFL combine his measurables will boost his draft stock. First round may be a slight stretch since he doesn't have the hype surrounding him, but he has really fluid hips and excellent closing speed. If he runs a 4.4 first round may not be out of the question. Definitely dont see him going lower than third.

Rudy is the top rated Free Safety going into the 2017 NFL draft according to Todd McShay and cbssports.
LINK

Can't find McShay's, but it was on the ticker if y'all want to find it, I'm sure it's out there

And as solid of a FS as he's been, he's a better and more natural RB. There's a reason everybody was recruiting him at RB out of HS. He only switched to DB out of need because there was nobody else.

I'm thinking we're going after the grad transfer Illinois LBer pretty hard.

I always thought if Dee Ford had stayed healthy he would have been one of the greatest DEs to ever play for us.

You say this based upon what? When have you seen him run the ball against real college competition?
