Out the a-hole.
Apparently a video guy was selling tapes to teams and/or recruiting services?

If he was fired, then yeah. He probably got paid. But that is some tin foil hat ITAT type stuff tho

Auburn video coordinator Brent Thomas is no longer with the program, a person familiar with the decision told AL.com. The news was first reported by FootballScoop.com.
Thomas joined the Auburn staff in 2007 and was responsible for filming practices, and scouting and breaking down opponent's game film. He previously served as the assistant video coordinator for the Tennessee Titans in the NFL for four seasons and was a video graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee in 2002 and 2003.
He played long snapper for the Volunteers from 1996 to 2000 as a walk-on player.
Thomas joined Auburn's staff in March 2007 under coach Tommy Tuberville.
Rumor is he was caught selling our practice tapes to LSU and Bama

Unfreakinbelievable. Dude needs several arse whippings.

I don't think it's a rumor any longer. Philip and some other posters basically confirmed it.
They say it was sold to recruiting services rather than schools.

Just went and read some stuff. Some are saying it wasn't practice video but prospect footage.
Posted on 5/18/16 at 9:45 pm to RockyMtnTigerWDE
if true, whats the difference? If the guy is willing to sell prospect tapes, then he has already sold other tapes as well. ie, he didnt get caught on his first sell.

One is prospects, and the other is practice film showing schemes and plays. I have no idea what he sold or didn't and should be fired no matter what, but if you don't know how one would be more damaging than the other I can't help you there.

Well there's a huge difference in him selling prospect film and practice film.
He was rightfully fired if it was either though

My point is, if he got caught selling prospect films, then he probably sold other films previously. Ie practice films.

I knew what you meant, but since you asked the question I went with it.

You do realize schools video their own workouts and camps with the kids right?

That's the part that doesn't make any sense to me.
