How do you make a bronze sculpture of a tree? I would assume it would have leaves. I just don't see how it's feasible to make a bronze sculpture of a tree when there are so many minuscule parts you would have to cast.
Right after the oaks died, I bought my wife a necklace of Toomer's Oak tree leaves that had been bronzed. Girlfriend of our has a muckidy muck dad on the board or some shite. A bronzed tree was one of the original proposals. They should have done that.

And anyway, what else are we gonna talk about on an Auburn sports board in the middle of February?
Alcohol, preferably

Well. The one on College wasn't prepped right. Root-pruned too soon before transplanting. The Mag oak, too. So it never took,
Was replaced, burned. College Street oak isn't too healthy. Mag oak will take 10 years to recover. It's not worth keeping either. Time to start anew.

This will work, but it will be years before we roll the trees. Hate the rivalry got to this level.

Just plant some smaller ones that are more native to the Auburn area. They'll wind up as big in 10-15 years anyway, and they'll be much easier to keep alive. I guarantee we won't forget the tradition by the time they're rollable.

I would like to see a large bronze "rolling tree" added to Toomer's and the replanted trees not rolled.
If that is not in the cards then is there a way to protect them with a netting or something that could be used to reduce the stress on the trees that washing them causes? I also agree with using a local species that will adapt better.

Dayum, I hate it when anybody gets root-pruned! It just aint right!

Keever suggested other species besides live oaks as better alternatives.

Wish they would just dig up some live oaks from here in Mobile and transplant them.
