Yes I made the 4.5 hours drive from Chattanooga to destroy property on my Alma Mater.

Any idea f it burned to the point of endangering the tree?
It looked like it was mostly just TP that was burning.

That is really pathetic. Have people degraded this far?

Apparently
Dude was wearing all black (or all very dark clothing). With the amount of businesses in the area, I hope there's a clear picture of the douche.

Apparently he's been caught and booked at APD.

Guess we'll know tomorrow if it's some a-hole LSU fan or a dumbass Auburn fan.

Seen a couple of things on Twitter saying it was LSU fan, but can anyone confirm?

Don't think anyone knows. If he was wearing black it will be an bama fan who has planned this since the article about the trees being vulnerable to fire.

video - montgomeryadvertiser.com
About a minute in you see a young woman point the guy out and then she runs off out of the video - hopefully she went for legal remedy. (speculation)

Updyke or an LSU fan, no way an Auburn did this.

Hopefully they will prosecute him to the fullest extent. The big problem with Updyke not having shite done to him is that now the precedent has been set that courts don't give a frick about huge amounts of property damage. One of the horticulture professors had said that they couldn't take a fire or the tree might be lost again, if this happens they need to charge him every single penny it costs to replace it.

That is kind of a useless thing if they cant pay it. Cant get blood from a turnip...
Updyke was charged an fined. He will never pay a cent of it

Updyke was an old useless piece of shite and he was never going to pay any of it. They needed to lock him up for the full extent they could or have him perform community service cleaning up toomers for the rest of his life
