Shooting in Auburn at Mr. D's

Auburn investigators confirm three people have died in a shooting early Saturday morning along Miracle Drive/Lee Road 83.
The shooting happened at a club known as Mr. D's Lounge. Police have not made an arrest in the case. AU PD tells us a 25 y/o man, 29 y/o man, and 43 y/o man were shot and killed. Names have not been released.
I'm an old guy. What kind of place is Mr. D's?

Drove by Miracle Drive this morning to get Biscuits at Hardees at 6am. Tons of cops blocking access to Miracle Drive. I was wondering what was going on.

My daughter, who's an AU student, just texted me that "It's not downtown either, so I doubt it was a bunch of Auburn students. There's a huge country concert here tonight so there are a lot of other people in town."

Never heard of Mr. D's. Judging from this picture, seems like it was on the outskirts of Auburn:

You drive up Donahue drive cross over Shug Jordan parkway. After you pass Yarborough elementary Miracle drive is on the right just past the bridge over Saugahatchee. It cuts the corner off between Donahue and Farmville. That picture was taken just off of Donahue.

Auburn University Club? That picture was taken about a half mile down the road from it. Right before one of the biggest middle class subdivisions in the city. I've lived on N Dunahue for going on 6-7 years and I've never heard of this Mr D's they refer to in the article

Everything I looked up says its a lodge/hotel but on its Facebook page looks to be a hangout for people to go party at. Music, drinking, dancing.

It's a hole in the wall club that's Naismith in the middle of nowhere. When u was in school (early 90s) it was a spot where college frats/sororities would sometimes throw parties. Problem was that you would often get locals with bad intentions and nothing to lose.

Found out yesterday that the Pew Pew dude works for the wife of one of the dudes I golf with. Guess he has an excuse for missing work next week.
