that'd be an idiotic move on his part IMO considering how much higher he could put himself if he comes back and is our #1 from day one next year

Next Year is already one of the most stacked RB class in a long time. It is unlikely he moves much higher

Think of how amazing Tre Masons 2013 season, most of these guys have put up per game numbers almost identical to Mason and/or elite 'athletes'

I think Jovon Robinson is going to be a legit NFL RB, I just don't think he is going to be a combine star and if going off film/stats his competition will have multiple years and no red flags

With declining RB draft positions the past 3 years only has like 5-6 guys in first 3 RDs. Ton of competition for those spots

Good luck Shon, few have deserved it more. Hope he has a long successful NFL career and a long successful cancer-free life.

Hopefully we will be celebrating a similar story in a few years with the Manning kid committed right now being healthy first of all and also about to get paid after a solid career at Auburn.

Your argument is dumb. Tre Mason didn't get drafted high with all his stats because he physically isn't a very impressive prospect. There's a reason a guy like Timmy Chang went undrafted while Christian Hackenberg is a top QB prospect this year.

Robinson is a guy that the measurables to be a top RB prospect and all the talent. But scouts need game film and to know that a player can produce consistently. JR put up 600 yards and 3 TDs and played half the season. That's not enough. As of right now, with a good combine or pro day, he's probably no better than a 5th rounder. Yeah, Fournette and Chubb (if healthy) are probably 1st rounders, but Jovon is talented enough that if he comes back and has a big season, there's no reason he can't be at least 4th or 5th on that list of guys which would still put him 2nd round.

Such a great way for this young man to go on to the next level!

Cheers and thanks Shon!

I could be wrong, but wasn't Avery announced/honored during senior day? I was all but certain that he was.

Do you see any Hawaii or North South Directional School for the Can't Fact Check on there? Every guy on that list plays at a Power 5 school which I specifically stated.

if he comes back and has a big seaso

Obviously if he puts up 6+YPC and 1800yds, he is in the picture. I just don't see him/our OL putting up the best AU rushing season of all time

He doesn't move up that much if he has a great 1300-1500yd 5-5.5 YPC season

Where do you think he is going to classify as elite at the combine? He has great size but so do a lot of other backs. With his 6 total 20+ yard runs and 45yd long, he isn't going to blow people away with his speed.

There is no game film on Robinson's catching skills, he hasn't been asked to pass block a lot and he has personality red flags.

Last time 5 RB when in the first 2 RDs was 2010. Once you get to RD 3 as a RB, it is in your interest to go pro even if you are RD5-6. Your shelf life is longer, get money earlier and difference in pay is minimal in long run

Wait, I'm confused. He could be drafted in the first two rounds? Is this the same Shon Coleman that Brannigan said was the worst LT in the country?
