It is a hell of a process. He will be there for Aeronautical Engineering.

If he didn’t earn the appointment to USNA he was heading to Auburn.

Enters in June.

Thank you sir, it was a very long and arduous process, but rewarding when the result is getting in.

Thank you Jang, the young man made a goal over a year ago and he made it happen. You are right, when he told me yesterday he got his official appointment and accepted I was very proud.

Luckily my kids are all much better people than their dad.

I did ROTC at Alabama for two full years. Ended up enlisting instead.

Those two years though I was in the University's honors program, physical training MWF at 5am in the morning, and lived a very mature life as a college kid in a college town. Doing the Naval route is a very grown up thing that will pay dividends for life. I should have stuck with ROTC but enlisted in the guard instead. Started partying and then GPA dropped like a rock.

Congrats Rocky. In today’s world if a kid is on the right path that is something to celebrate.

Go Falcons!

Damn, RockyMtnTigerWDE, that is impressive! He made the Naval Academy and is going for aeronautical engineering. That young man has a computer on his shoulders.
If he's brave might he wear an Auburn shirt under his cadet uniform when attending the football games? Well maybe not during his pleb year anyway.

Congratulations Paul on your daughter’s appointment to West Point. A very nice accomplishment.

Thank you to the others for your congratulations, and I hope he can find a way to wear some Auburn gear. Lol
