I know you don't wanna kill JJ's confidence or whatever is left...but you can kill Sean too if he thinks Gus prefers this over him

If I were Sean i would quit the team. Gus is telling him he's worse than this POS by not giving him reps.

There should be plenty of uproar about White not getting reps. I'm not mad about the loss, they happen, I'm furious at paying this bafoon 4 million to make such an idiotic coaching move.

You can't kill what doesn't exist. JJ's confidence is gone. Honestly, the only way for a young QB to rebound from playing like he has is to take a break. His issues aren't something that can be fixed by playing through.

Eff Gus for not pulling JJ. He is going to lose the entire locker room.

He's gonna stay with JJ.

And we're gonna get screwed even more.

It looks like he's already lost it.

Backup QB is always the fan favorite.

To think, this time last year I was worried that Gus would go to the NFL soon.

Yeah, we have no choice but to stay with the sparkling performances of Jeremy Johnson.

Sure, no chance at victory, struggling starter, yet no back up reps. You try so fricking hard. It's common sense to get reps in.

When a QB is struggling this badly, it doesn't make sense not to go with the backup. JJ gave AU a zero percent chance to win vs LSU. Putting in the backup can't make those odds worse, and you might find he plays better in game situations.

I said the same thing at the start of the fourth. It is mind blowing that the starting quarterback is still playing in the fourth in a game that is unwinnable.

a. If you really are sticking with your starter, then rest him for the next game instead of taking a chance at getting him hurt.

b. Give backups reps to get them prepared to play if they are needed later.

Leaving in Johnson for the fourth was absolutely fricking retarded in every way possible and the only explanation is that Malzahn is scared that White might be good or better than Johnson. For frick's sake, Johnson threw the ball 18 yards backwards earlier in the game.

I don't even know why this is a question. What if JJ had won the heisman and left? You're telling me the anti-backup people wouldn't be okay with Sean White next year? He looked like the definition of poise in HS and competitions. And he played with the better teammates and against arguably the better teams.

At this point, I think Sean White's HS team would've beaten Auburn today.

Indeed.

You can't get worse than zero.
