I think my post history is relatively positive and I was impressed with how SW played with grit and energy. I also saw him make some throws that made me question his overall arm strength. I am not convinced he is a long term answer, but I do believe he played in such a way that he should be given more chances.

fair assessment.

Had a discussion with a coworker today and he made an excellent point....We have the absolute perfect stretch in our schedule to improve each week and gain momentum heading into the back end of our schedule.

San Jose tomorrow, then a bi week, then Kentucky and Arkansas on the road. If you could pick the order to play all three games, they would be in the order we have them. Thats four weeks to steadily improve before our home game with Ole Miss.

I don't remember any throws that made me question his arm strength. The one being discussed is the only I remember floating but like I said that was tipped.

He was putting zip on all his balls but I don't really remember any throws that truly tested his arm strength really.

Agree 100% that we should have won. Sean also handicapped himself as he always checked down into safer passes.

What is a check down?

Maybe our best play makers on the team are the RBs

I don't think it is a fair assessment after one game. He did make a throw back that looked a bit weak. More than anything it was that he made no throws that made me go, "wow!"

I know you all don't want to hear this but based on some things Gus has said and some things I've read from insiders I don't think Gus is sold on White yet and is looking for a reason to go back to JJ.

I think you're exaggerating that a bit. I don't think he's sold on White but I don't think he's looking for a reason to go back to JJ.

JJ is toas as far as I am concerned. There is no way I can conceive of him just making a complete 180.

Just as a fan I'm not sold on White, but we shouldn't go back to JJ just yet.

Gus obviously wanted JJ to play and I've heard before that White was Lashlee's guy... what have you read?

After watching Lashlee's reaction to every offensive series against LSU that doesn't surprise me

I think, in the case of JJ v. White, Lashlee was operating from a more rational standpoint and Gus was giving JJ the benefit of the doubt.

Gus isn't sold on Whites ability to push the ball down the field. He is going to give him that shot today but if struggles look for JJ to get another shot. He thinks JJ's issues are simply nerves and lack of confidence and if he can get that fixed he gives us the best chance to win.

if true. gus isn't very bright. i mean who else do we have to push the ball down the field.

we all know we have a QB who can move the ball in the wrong direction
