I thought the WR checked up out of his break and even then should have laid out. That being said i think SW is kind of in his head on wide open throws sometimes.

You were taught this in baseball...
Putting just one hand on the football is hardly sufficient to make routine catches. Those are considered sportcenter catches for good reason.

Agreed.
I'm not saying it wasn't a bad throw. All I'm saying is that the WR should have caught the ball.

Davis was supposed to cut harder. If he ran his route more inside like he was supposed to its a perfect throw. Go back and watch the body language of the two and tell me who the players thought messed up.

Maybe so. I just think saying the "WR should've dived" and the "ball should've been caught" are statements that don't compute.

They compute equally as well as "Sean White is the one who screwed up another long pass".

Dude threw a damn rocket. Has to just get a little more air under that throw.

The quotation marks are noted and the quote is definitely not from me. So I guess you're agreeing with me that in both situations the statements do not compute. Thanks BB

White is a leader for sure. I think that continues to grow through the rest of the year ending with a season topping performance and win against Bama. He is not Kelly who made almost no mistakes, but he will be better than average at the end of his career. I see his improvement and the WR play could make him look better if one of them was elite.

Auburn suffers in the vertical passing game.

Sean has been an asset and an overall plus for the offense. Sure the run game is more critical to our success, always has been for Gus. But Sean has shown us all enough for us to have faith that if we need his arm to lead a drive for us it can. The dude is pinpoint on nearly every throw that isn't a deep ball. The place where he's really impressed me is third and longs. I don't have numbers but I'm sure they'll back me up, it seems like the guy is converting them at an absurd rate. I was on the I love Sean but he's just a really good game manager bus last week but after I rewatched some games and saw the dude clutch that 3rd and long with his run I realized he's more than a game manager. Now he's not an All-American but if he develops that deep ball (which I still blame the coaches for bc they didn't try to work on it during the second half of blowouts) there's no reason to think he couldn't be.

Was I the only one that thought that deep ball shoulda been caught? It looked to me that the WR tried to catch it in stride rather than just catch the ball. I watched it twice and thought the kid could have laid out and caught it. Maybe I can see the replay again.
No. I thought White missed him all together but the replay showed the ball hit the receivers hands. It wasn't perfect but I bet he'll never miss that catch again.
The dropped ball by the Ole Miss player late in the game looked like a carbon copy. I can't believe Engram dropped that one.
