i would absolutely refuse to play them, unless it was a playoff game.

Rig's right about this.

But that's the reason I do want to play them.

I hate ND fans. At least 'Bama is winning, their fans walk around like Knute Rockne is still coaching the team...

Of all the years to play Notre Dame, not too confident about beating them.

Points scored against the Irish in their last 7 games (five of which were losses):
43
31
39
55
43
31
49

Average: 41.6 points per game. And their opponents included a 5-7 Big10 team, two ACC also-rans, and a service academy.

If we can't beat them this year, we might as well play Clemson again.

Didn't mean it like that. I like Vandy's unis (black on black is my favorite). I'm a Vandy fan after AU (went to grad school there).

I would go in a heartbeat. I WANT to play them for the exact same reasons the rig doesn't want us to

Why you mad at Van Gorder bro. He didn't do anything to us and seems like an OK guy

I would go just for the chance to be in the same stadium as David Robinson. The Admiral is an all-time favorite of mine.

Awww...that's sweet. I wasn't really bothered by it anyway. I was really hoping someone said something witty back.

The new gold jerseys with black helmets are sweet. I can't decide if I like the new black jerseys Mason got. I'd prefer if the shoulders were just one gold anchor not the multiple lighter gray ones, I think. The matte helmet is cool for sure.

Hope you enjoyed it. Nashville definitely provides a good stress-release location for when you need to step away for a minute.

Lot better than playing Minnesota in a half empty stadium

ND is one of my most disliked teams b/c every single one of their fans I have met has been an arse. It has only been like 5, but still you pick 5 of any team (even Bama) and there will usually be at least a couple of okay people.

Weird that we have never played them. I think that would be a really fun match-up.

Bama alumni normally will be reasonable. Arrogant with Sabans streak but not so much so

Notre Same really hasn't been good since the 80s and irrelevant but act as bad as bama fans

I've never really experienced this with their alumni but I also havent been around much of their alumni outside of chicago/Midwest. I feel like you and I might have had ver different experiences and I'm wondering if that's a product of location. Wondering if maybe their alumni in places where they're vastly out numbered don't act out more.

I hope we play them.
